It seems to only include the reality based Judeo-christian experience of "God" though.

My Child Of God Philosophy
by Zechariah inthe child of god comes of age
this is the whole story as i have been inspired to know it.
we are helped in our understanding of god by relating or analogizing him to other things that are similar we know better.

Why not cattleprods intstead?
by Brummie injust a quickie....about 3 years ago a talk was given at the kh where pregnant women were asked to monitor thier unborn babies movement, it was suggested that if the child moves around during meetings that mother should gently prod the belly with a pencil in order to learn the unborn baby that he/she shouldnt fidgit during meeting hours, it was kind of a behavioural tactic!!!!!
does anyone know if that was ever written down in any mags?.......poor kids, discipline starts before they are even born in the wt...how sick.. .
coincidently i remember being told that it parents should let their unborn children listen to kingdom melodies as a relaxing therapy....no wonder the mental health of jws is pretty darn bad!.

Maybe they'll be the kids that don't like drawing.
So is that tending and guiding the flock? I can just imagine jw kids leaving as soon as they can walk.

It did not sound odd when I was a Witness!
by kenpodragon insome times i will go out to lunch with some friends, or maybe they will have me over to dinner.
in doing so they will some times ask me a question about the witnesses.
normally it is because one of them works with one, or knows one in the family and they did not want to offend that person with a question that might sound rude or even silly.

May you wanted it to be odd when you were a witness - you know, different - part of being a witness - while others laugh, they're reinforced by that - imagining it to be scoffing.

Resurection of billions will bring famine
by Gerard inwhen billions of people resurect, in flesh and bone, their bodies will again need a source of energy: food.
the world will be seriously overpopulated overnight and food will become scarce; should we expect cattle rustlers, gangs, tribal wars?
will history repeat itself?

Just as with cows, the sisters could eat grass while their ovums are at large.
Now what about the brothers?

Yet another batch of "new light"
by caligirl ini was talking to my sister yesterday, who spent the weekend with our still active parents.
over the weekend, they all had dinner with another couple, who were sharing some of the "latest news.
" i am getting this second hand, but my sister is excellent at remembering exactly what was said.

Thanks Neon,
And Quotes, could be that they're saving those British building funds for something else. If there weren't so many jws, I reckon they'd be going into the chamber and shutting the door quite soon - with the FBI outside perhaps.

Why is it that the Red cross provided "food and shelter and stuff", and the jws carried "paper, a guitar etc" - as if someone was able to notice every single thing they did?
I'm just so synical when it comes to jws - is there something wrong with me or is that just how it is?

Was the catholic church an Enemy of scripture?
by gumby indoes the print in bold type remind you guys of another organisation you can think of??????????
was the catholic church an avowed enemy of scripture
was it really fear of false doctrine that caused the church to object to the scriptures being in the hands of the laity?

http://www.hti.umich.edu/r/rsv/ I think that this is the one that I had at catholic school - for those who want the other bits that the reformation took out - at church I think they have even more pieces and paragraph versions. I must look into it.
The jws could well have done with the story of Susannah.

Letters from readers
by QCA1 inhi to everyone.. i was outside my workplace the other day having a smoke and what did i spy but 2 well dressed men with brief cases,i knew straight away they were jws.i was hoping they would come while i was on my break but they were going to other work places first.my break was finally over and to my disappointment they did'nt come till i had left.
anyway,my boss knows that i am interested in all things jw so he took there booklet.. i was reading the letters page and here's what 1 letter says.restless legs.
i've just read your article "do you have restless legs"(november 22nd 2000) i have suffered with this for 18 years,i thought that i was alone.i've often cried because of frustration and lack of sleep, and i have had all sorts of medication.

Overtime, Xanax (alprazolam) can induce the benzodiazepine GABA receptor complex to shift in the inverse agonist direction. Put simply, in up to one third of users a paradoxical effect occurs and instead of alleviating anxiety, it can generate anxiety and induce severe agitation and serious outbursts or episodes of self harm.
Be careful of that stuff.
